Challenges

DurHack

This year, we want your hacks to Break Boundaries!

Make it
 AWSome! (AWS)

Build something AWSome on Amazon Web Services!

Improve Online Learning (DU CompSoc)

Use your skills to improve online learning! Whether this is making lectures more collaborative, lectures more interactive, or more exciting!

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in DurHack 2020, you need to be at least 18 years old, and a current registered student at Durham University. You may also participate if you graduated on or after 14th November 2019 (i.e. up to one year before DurHack 2020).

Teams can be a maximum size of five in order to be eligible for prizes.

Requirements

Please create a video to demonstrate your hack. Think of this as your elevator pitch! The video should be no longer than 5 minutes and showcase everything that you'd want to show in a live demonstration. Upload the video to YouTube (the video can be unlisted!), and attach the link to your DevPost submission. The hack videos will be streamed on Sunday afternoon to give everyone a chance to see what you've made!

Please note that given the online nature of DurHack 2020, projects without a link to a demo video are unable to be considered at this time. Please refer to the hacker pack for video recording resources.

When submitting your project, please make sure that you do not use any code from prior to the event. Please also clearly declare any external libraries / codebases / APIs which you use in your project.

Submissions for sponsors' prizes may vary, but there are no restrictions to be eligible for the general DurHack prizes.
